Delivery of multicultural programs and services is one of the many strengths of the Maryborough Neighbourhood Centre. As a not for profit community organisation that provides mainstream services to the community, the centre has achieved significantly in its implementation of programs that benefitted members of the migrant community and has extensively promoted diversity for many years.

ASIAN WOMEN'S GROUP
Formerly known as the Asian Women's Development Program (AWDP), this group now operates under the banner of the Migrant Development Program and will continue with its programs and activities such as the cultural dance group, social network and support services.
The Maryborough Neighbourhood Centre's Adult Community Education Program (A.C.E.P.) has started its Literacy/English Mentoring Class. The Mentoring class is designed to assist culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) members of our community including newly arrived migrants who needs assistance to enhance their English literacy and communication skills. The Maryborough Neighbourhood Centre is an information and referral centre providing vital information to the Maryborough community. Our role is to be able to refer our clients to the proper organisation depending on their specific needs, as well as provide them with basic services that are available within the Maryborough Neighbourhood Centre.
The Fraser Coast Youth Achievement Awards aim to recognise the young achievers of our region who otherwise go unrecognised. In 2014, we started to host the first Fraser Coast Youth Achievement Awards. The main objective of this wonderful event is to create a positive perception of youth in Maryborough, Hervey Bay and its surrounding districts.
We are seeking to recognise young people who have set goals and achieved those self-defined goals through determination and will power. Nominate a young person in our region who is deserving to be recognised by our community.

A Justice of the Peace (Qual.) is available at the centre every Tuesday only from 10am - 12nn BY APPOINTMENT!!!. What our JP (Qual.) can do:
For all other days and documents, a Justice of the Peace (Qual.) is located at the Maryborough Court House from Monday to Friday and at Station Square Shopping Centre on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays (please check with Station Square Centre Management for JP service times).

Dance routine specially designed for women. Learn line dancing and freestyle dancing with a modern twist.
To join, participants must at least be 18 years of age and physically fit to join this type of activity. Our dancing instructors are talented volunteers and members of the Cultural Dance Group of the Maryborough Neighbourhood Centre's Migrant Development Program.
Dance to Fitness is held every Friday from 4pm - 5.30pm for a gold donation. Please be advised that the program may be terminated or re-scheduled without prior notice. Due to venue limitation, participation is on a "first come, first serve' basis.

This support group is a welcoming environment for people who survived or going through any form of cancer and their families.
We are hoping to provide friendship, support and some information through invited guest speakers and health professionals. The program is run by volunteers and has been through a similar experience.

The Maryborough Interagency Network Meeting is a bi-monthly meeting attended by community services workers in Maryborough and surround to discuss current activities and potential ways of working together as a community. Meetings are informal but with structure and long enough for attendees to learn and develop opportunities to meet our specific program goals and objectives.
